International recording artist Iyaz will take the stage in Dimapur on October 17 evening as the headliner of the inaugural Ahibi Fest 2025 at Agri Expo. Gates will open at 1:00 PM, with performances scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM.
Iyaz arrived in the city on October 16 and attended a press conference at Zone Niathu Town Hall, Chümoukedima, where he interacted with the media alongside artists from Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
Festival Director and Edge Entertainment head Kakivi Chishi outlined the event lineup, announcing that the show will open with a 30-minute set by DJ Little Bomb, followed by a curated Naga Playlist featuring popular hits from local artists. Arunachal-based act Sono Lem and his group 790001 will perform ahead of Iyaz’s much-anticipated set.
Chishi said Ahibi Fest aims to elevate the live music scene in the region. “It’s incredible to have Iyaz as our very first headliner, this is history in the making,” he stated.
During the media interaction, Iyaz expressed excitement about performing in Nagaland for the first time. Reflecting on his earlier visit to Shillong, he said the warmth and support he received in the Northeast reminded him of home. He added that the festival is not just about music, but about “coming together to make history as a community.”
When asked about his performance style, Iyaz teased fans by saying, “You’ll have to come and see for yourself,” while assuring a high-energy show with “everybody on their feet.”
The event marks a major milestone for Ahibi, the event management platform behind the fest, and is expected to draw a large crowd for its debut edition.
