Jacob encourages students to be skilled

Parliamentary secretary for Irrigation and Flood Control, Jacob Zhimomi has encouraged students to take up development rather than opting for government services as employment opportunities under government of Nagaland has also reached a saturation point.
He was speaking at the inaugural session of Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) 37th general conference held under the theme “progressive generation” and hosted by Niuland Area Students Union (NASU) at Niuland, Saturday.
Deliberating on the concept of dignity of labour, Jacob asked students to set examples for others to emulate adding that it was worth doing even the most humble job with full dedication.
Stressing on the importance of education, he said wisdom is God gifted but even to apply wisdom for rightful purpose one need to be well educated.
Jacob encouraged the students to make best use of their youth and asked them to equip themselves so as to contribute towards the progress of the society. He also encouraged them to get quality education and at the same time to be humble and make positive contributions.
Urging students not to breed any negative and selfish attitudes, Jacob cautioned that such attitude would destroy the fabric of peaceful and progressive society. He asked them to be God fearing and inculcate good virtues of life.
