Jacob graces Poanglum festival

Minister of PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi graced the three-day Poanglum festival 2024 as special guest at Sejung Ground Tuensang village organised by Tuensang Sang Staff Thangjam on January 10.

Jacob in his speech appealed to all the Naga tribes to come together to progress as one socially, politically and economically.
He said Nagas were strong and united during pre-statehood but slowly “each tribe turned against one another”.
“No tribe is ready to forgive which has deeply hampered our society on the developmental front”, he said.
He therefore encouraged the gathering to be patient and work hard as better days were approaching. Jacob also fervently appealed to all the 17 Naga tribes to unite to make Nagas strong and prosperous Nagaland.
Jacob further challenged the Naga youth to reclaim the work culture and set an example for the upcoming generation to follow suit.
