Jacob Zhimomi request Uma Bharati for release of funds

Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation and Flood Control, Jacob Zhimomi called upon Union Minister for Water Resource, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharati on Friday at her office chamber at Shram Shakti Bhawan New Delhi and urged for release of funds under the ministry.
According to a press release by Nagaland House New Delhi, PRO Kuolie Mere, during the meet Jacob briefed the union minister on the ongoing schemes under the Ministry in the State.
He requested for release of central grand in respect of ongoing minor irrigation projects included under AIBP during 2014-15 and the committed liabilities for completed schemes under FMP taken up in 2014-15.
Jacob also submitted a concept note to the minister on Dhansiri River development and rejuvenation for consideration under the ministry.
The union minister assured the parliamentary secretary for release of fund for the ongoing projects. Uma Bharati also said that for Dhansiri River she would take up the matter with the ministry of environment, forest and climate change as the conservation of rivers was under that ministry.  Parliamentary secretary was accompanied by chief engineer irrigation Njilo Kemp.
