JAF to launch phase-II stir from Dec 2

Joint Associations Forum (JAF), as decided by its coordinating body at Ura Hotel in Kohima on November 26, has unanimously announced launching of phase-II “intense agitations” starting December 2 in the form of three-day mass casual leave by all the members.

JAF, comprising of four associations – Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Service Association, All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association, Trained Nurses Association of India, Nagaland Branch and Prison Service Association Nagaland– is protesting against non-implementation of RoP Pay Anomalies Committee (PAC) recommendation.

In a circular, JAF convenor M Renthungo Tungoe and co-convenor V Peter Rutsa informed that the phase-II protest would be followed by the phase-III agitation in the form of indefinite pen down, tools down and computers shutdown with effect from December 5, 2019 till the genuine demand of the forum was achieved.

JAF stated that intense phase of agitation would be partially relaxed for the essential services like the prison and nurses who deal with human lives.

However, the forum stated that those affected would continue to show their resentment by wearing black badges on duties. JAF said that relaxation could be called off anytime if situation so demands in due course of time.

As regards, JAF has directed all its constituent associations to further direct all respective action committees to strictly monitor member’s activities and to report, take action as deem fit on any erring members. Further, JAF has directed all constituent associations to stick together through thick and thin till the common goal was achieved for present and future generation.
