Jalukie ‘B’ village council appeals

Jalukie ‘B’ Village Council has appealed to the responsible department to allot funds for rehabilitation of those affected villages by heavy rain and hailstones in the month of April 2019.

In a press statement, chairman Jalukie ‘B’ Village Council, Namki Mpom has expressed resentment against the government’s failure to address the grievances of the poor villagers who were left homeless during the downpour of heavy rain and hailstones in Peren district especially in Jalukie valley where several tin roof houses were destroyed by hailstone in the month of April. The council stated that it reported the matter to Deputy Commissioner and submitted the detailed report with list of affected households. The council therefore appealed to the responsible department to look in to the matter on priority.
