
Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Jalukieram on January 5.
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), troops provided medical assistance to a total of 57 villagers. Battalion also helped the local populace in restoring the roads in Peren town on January 5.
The stretch of road in front of All Saints Higher Secondary School was maintained by the combined efforts of security forces and the locals.
Meanwhile, the battalion also conducted COVID-19 campaign at Huenambe village, on January 8.
The campaign focused on COVID-19 cases and villagers were urged to use masks and sanitisers. They were informed about symptoms of COVID-19 and measures to be adhered to avoid the infection.
Basic medical check up of the people was also conducted and were also informed about the upcoming nation vide vaccination programme. A total of 30 villagers attended the event.
