Staff ReporterDIMAPUR, JAN 24 (NPN)

A day after three NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe) cadres were handed over to Nagaland Police for questioning in connection with the alleged abduction and assault of Kiyeto Zhimomi, another person was reportedly handed over to the police on Saturday.
According to official sources, the individual was identified as H. Kiba, who has been discharged as the finance secretary of NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe) faction.

It may be mentioned that H. Kiba and joint secretary Vicca Chophi on January 23, were issued “force discharge azha” from active and primary membership of the government with immediate effect.
On Friday, Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland Rupin Sharma had informed the media that three functionaries– Lovito Yeptho, Hukhevi Yeptho and Viniho Kiho- were handed over to the police for questioning in connection with the case.
Sharma had stated that the police had so far identified the involvement of at least seven individuals and did not rule out further arrests as the investigation progressed.
The DGP also came down heavily on armed factions over the January 19 abduction of Kiyeto Zhimomi, terming the incident a “clear-cut violation of ceasefire ground rules” and asserting that no group has any legal or moral authority to summon, detain, abduct or threaten civilians under any pretext.
