Sr. SP Kohima has informed that in view of the 67th Republic Day celebration at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima, the traffic regulations would be enforced on January 26, 2016 from 6 a.m. as part of the security arrangement.
In a press release, Sr. SP Kohima, Joseph Hesso, stated that only vehicles with appropriate car pass would be allowed entry to the Secretariat Plaza. The release also stated that parking outside the main gate of the Secretariat Plaza would be free for all public.
Kohima police informed that no vehicle would be allowed to be parked by the roadside from 6 a.m.
No Parking: From BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island and From Raj Bhavan to New Secretariat complex via High School Junction.
It has been warned that defaulting vehicles on the above mentioned stretch of the road would be towed away and towing charge shall be recovered from the defaulters.  Entry of heavy vehicles as well as unloading in the town would also be restricted from 7 a.m. onwards.
