Thirty-two delegates- 26 from Japan and six from Thailand would be attending the two-day, Japan-Naga Christian reconciliation and revival summit 2015, which begin on November 28 at Kohima.
The summit would be conducted under the aegis of All Japan Revival Mission, Japan (AJRM) hosted by four local Churches (denominations) of Nagaland- Nagaland Assembly of God Kohima, Nagaland Christian Revival Church, Nagaland Pentecostal Church and Nagaland Baptist Church Council. Briefing media persons, Wednesday afternoon, convener organizing committee Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihienuo said the basic idea of the event was to reconcile on the atrocities committed during the WW-II. The convener added that the emphasis of AJRM was on four “R”s Repentance, Reconciliation, Revival and Reformation. NBCC general secretary, Rev. Dr. Z. Keyho acknowledged the three denominations for coming together to organize the summit. He said as much as the Japanese had committed atrocities, Nagas had also done wrong and reconciliation event would be for both ways to repent. Keyho also informed that the two countries will exchange “Bible” as symbolic gesture during the event.
Reconciliation service would be held at Kedhi Baptist Church, Kohima village at 10 am, while revival meeting would be held at NPCC convention centre on November 28 and 29 at 3.pm.
President All Japan Revival mission, Japan Rev.Dr. Paul K. Ariga and Senior Pastor, Shinshiro Church, Aichi, Japan Rev. Jun Takimoto would be the main speakers of the summit.
NLA Speaker Chotisuh Sazo will also address on behalf of the state government at the reconciliation service while chief minister, T.R. Zeliang will deliver greetings on the closing service.
