Chief Medical Officer, Phek conducted block level training on Jan Arogya Samiti (JAS)/VHC/HCMC from August 24 to September 1. It may be noted that JAS committee has to be formed in all the Health and Wellness Centres at SC-HWCs and PHC-HWCs to support and facilitate the conduct of activities pertaining to social accountability at AB-HWC facilities.
The committee in coordination with VHSNCs, act as grievance redressal platform, facilitate and support VHSNCs in undertaking health planning etc.
Resource person at the training were Dy.CMO, Dr.Chitale Hiese; DPM NHM, Sede-U Rupreo and DAM, Verhiyo.
During the training, topics on “structure and composition of JAS overview and need of JAS, the functions of JAS, roles and responsibilities of JAS members, untied funds of Jas and its uses etc” were covered. The training was attended by MOs,CHOs,HCMC/VHC chairmen, GNM, ANM and members of HCMC/VHC.
