Commemorating the 116th birth anniversary of Jaya Prakash Narayan, Janata Dal (U) Nagaland, under the aegis of Jaya Prakash Narayan (JPN) Trust, will be honouring three renowned personalities who have worked in the field of peace and socio-political service for Naga society.
A press release by JD (U) Nagaland media cell stated the award ceremony would be held on October 11 with deputy chairperson of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Narayan Singh, as the “honoured guest.”
Media cell said that, in a consultative meeting held on Thursday, JD (U) Nagaland has also agreed to set up a search committee to shortlist awardees. It further resolved to initiate humanitarian service by extending any possible help to Kiphire and other severely affected calamity areas in the state.
