Jessami, Meluri VCs settle boundary issue

Village councils of Jessami and Meluri along with leaders of the two villages, in an effort to bring an amicable solution to the prolong boundary dispute, have finally settled the matter on November 23, 2021.

In a joint statement, JVC chairman Anizote Mekhrisuh and MVC chairman Tsirhütho Pochury said that the two sides, after several rounds of talks and spot verifications including GPS coordinates, erected permanent boundary pillars for peaceful co-existence.
Both the sides signed the statement on December 6 for wide publication and necessary action from the state governments of Manipur and Nagaland.
