Jharnapani-Molvom bridge collapses; traffic diverted

DIMAPUR, AUG 5 (NPN): Dimapur police have issued a traffic advisory after incessant rainfall washed away the temporary bridge between Jharnapani and Molvom.
Commissioner of Police Dimapur Aotula T. Imchen has advised all travellers between Chümoukedima and Jalukie/Peren to use alternate routes with immediate effect.
For light motor vehicles, the designated routes are: 7th Mile Junction, Chümoukedima–Pimla via Shokhuvi; New Chümoukedima (Iron Structure Bridge)–Gaili via Ruzaphema; and Medziphema–Punglwa via Sirhi Angami and Sochunoma villages.
Heavy motor vehicles have been barred from using the alternate routes and would be allowed to ply only after the temporary bridge at Jharnapani-Molvom is restored.
