JICA delegates review medical project at NIMSR Kohima

A delegation from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by senior representative, Arima, additional chief development specialist, Aditi Puri, and additional lead project officer, Mahua Mukherjee, visited the state from July 7 to 9, to review the progress of project for the establishment of the Medical College Hospital at Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR), Kohima.
A press release by IEC Bureau, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, informed that during their visit, JICA team held detailed discussions with officials from Department of Health and Family Welfare, and also visited the proposed project construction site at NIMSR, Kohima, and reviewed preparatory activities for implementation, as construction work are yet to be initiated.
Representatives from Project Management Consultant (PMC) were also present at the meeting.
The project is being implemented by Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, with financial assistance under Official Development Assistance (ODA) Loan Agreement No. ID-P322, signed between JICA and the Government of India on February 20, 2024.
