JJM scheme inaugurated at Pongidong village

Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scheme which aims to provide tap connection to every rural household in the country by 2024, has been successfully implemented at Pongidong village, Wokha. According to DIPR report, the village which has a population of about 2813 and 466 house hold as per 2011 census will be benefited. The scheme was inaugurated on May 11. Pongidong Village Council & Village Development Board (VDB) extended appreciation to the government of Nagaland, PHED department for successfully implementing the mission on time, and also expressed gratitude to Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India under whose direction and guidance the work has been executed.
