Five students, who excelled in Ao dialect were honoured by the Jemtimenba Mollier Foundation (JMF) during a felicitation programme held on Saturday at Aor Kilem, Mokokchung.
Imtidongba Jamir, Tambuti (Tatar) of Kosasanger Puso Ungma, graced the occasion as special guest. He praised JMF for its commitment to preserving Ao language and culture and urged support for its continued efforts. He also congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to be role models.
Principal Director of H&F Welfare and wife of late Jemtimenba Mollier, Dr. Nadira Changkija, and Ao Riju chairman Prof. Rev. Rongsen also addressed the gathering.
Member Aso Imsong narrated the history of JMF’s formation in 2014. The felicitation was led by JMF chairman Dr. Tali Imsong, and a musical interlude was presented by a quartet from CTC, Aolichen.
Invocation and benediction were offered by Lima Lemtur, Pastor Union Church FAC, and Rev. Ngangnen Longkumer, Pastor Alempang respectively.
JMF awardees included: Sensosangla Pongen, BA Ao Honors, CGPA 7.81; Washinaro, 67% AT-Post Graduate Diploma (2025); Akumtila Jamir, 72% AT Diploma (2025); Sunepbenla Imchen, 98% (Ao HSLC 2025), QMHSS and Lensen Ozukum, 98% (Ao HSSLC 2025), Mangyangnokcha Hr. Sec. School.
