Job fair at NEISSR; to beheld in Kohima today

In a significant initiative to address the growing concern of unemployment in Nagaland, NEISSR organized a job fair offering 265 vacancies in collaboration with MRF Limited and Step UP International on April 25 at NEISSR, 7th Mile Chumoukedima. The job fair was marked by the presence of key recruiters and stakeholders.

Venkataramanan R, HR executive at MRF Limited and Anitha Indira Bhai, Project Director of Step UP International, announced scope for over 500 youth from Nagaland. The recruiters also stressed the importance of developing a professional work culture in the region.

The event brought to light the stark reality of educated unemployment in the state. District Employment Officer, Dimapur, informed that more than 68,000 educated individuals are currently unemployed in Nagaland.

In its proactive role, NEISSR is collaborating with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the National Career Service, and AIDA Don Bosco to facilitate job placements and career counselling. The institute reiterated its commitment to empowering the youth through skill-based training and strategic partnerships.
