‘Gen.’ (Retd) Kholi Konyak, who was recently appointed as the vice-chairman of NSCN (I-M), Monday clarified his stand that he joined NSCN (I-M) under the leadership of chairman, Issac Swu and general secretary, Th. Muivah to unite with “our” own Naga brothers and to achieve “our” common goal “if not at least die trying for the cause”.
The recent development of joining hands with NSCN (I-M) was that I did not “surrender to my enemies” but to unite with my own Naga brothers, Gen (Retd) Kholi said. He also sought for forgiveness in case he had hurt the sentiments of the Naga brethren during his sixty long years of political career.
Kholi further said that he has no grudges against any individual or parties but felt that “one should give one’s position or wealth for the cause” so that unity could be achieved.
