Joint inspection team seizes expired food items in Atoizu

DIMAPUR: In a concerted effort to strengthen consumer protection and promote lawful business practices, a joint inspection of shops and business establishments across Atoizu town was carried out by officials of the District Administration (Dobashis), Atoizu Town Council, and Atoizu Police.
During the operation, the team scrutinised trade licences, hygiene standards and food products available for sale. A sizeable quantity of expired food items was seized and later destroyed at a designated disposal site to prevent their sale or consumption.
Authorities said the inspection was part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard public health.
