Wokha district administration along with Police and the drug inspector conducted joint operation on trafficking of pharma drugs within Wokha town on December 19.
According to DIPR report, the operation was done in response to the call of narcotic-control bureau, MHA to observe anti-drug drive week, with effect from December 15 to 22. During the drive, several bottles of cough syrup containing codeine phosphate were seized from different pharmacies. Accordingly, the defaulters have been forwarded to the competent authority for further necessary action.
