In compliance with the directive of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland has constituted Joint Steering Committee for monitoring the collaborative activities of the State Action Plan for Rabies Elimination (SAP-RE).
According to a DIPR report, the following members are: Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare as chairperson, Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department (co-chairperson), Secretary, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Department (co-chairperson), other members were: Mission Director (NHM), Health & Family Welfare; Principal Chief Conservator of Forest; Secretary, Municipal Affairs/Urban Development Department; Secretary, Environment, Forest & Climate Change; Secretary, Public Works Department; Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department; Director, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Department; Director, NIMSR; Chief Engineer, Public Works Department; Director, Municipal Affairs/Urban Development Department; Director, Department of Information & Public Relations; Dean of College of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry; Representative from NGO; State Nodal Officer of NRCP & Designated Nodal Secretary Veterinary Officer at State DADH.
