Joint team nabs 4 for extortion

A joint team of Dimapur police and Mahila (NAP/IR) Bn personnel apprehended four persons on charges of extortion from construction site at 4th Mile, Dimapur on January 5 at around 4:15 p.m.
In a press release, Dimapur police PRO said they were demanding money from the contractors/ labourers.
On frisking accused, one .32 pistol was recovered and seized from their possession.
Particulars of the accused: 1. Gihuka Ayemi (22 yrs), S/o Lt.Ghokeho, V/o. Toluvi, PO/PS- East PS Dimapur, P/A. Toluvi. 2. Tony Kinnymi (26 yrs), S/o Atovi, V/o. Alaphu, P{O/PS- Aghanato, P/A. Naharbari, Dimapur. 3. Nagan Mech (25 yrs), S/o Proben, V/o. Purana Bazar ‘B’ Village, PO/PS- East PS, P/A. Purana Bazar near Govt. Middlr School, Dimapur. 4. Nikato Kati (43 yrs), S/o Kekhavi, V/o. Atubhu, PO/PS- Mangkolemba, P/A. 2 ½ Mile, Ekrani Pathur, Dimapur.
Accordingly, a regular case vide Dpr PS C/No. 0003/15 U/S 384/34 IPC R/W 25 (1 A)(b) Arms Act R/W 7/8 NSR was registered with Diphupar PS and further investigation is on, PRO said.
