Jalukie Pumling Youth Organization (JPYO) has announced that it will monitor all ongoing and future developmental and contract works within its jurisdiction to ensure adherence to the Detailed Project Report (DPR).
In a press release, JPYO informed that the organization will inspect project sites to maintain accountability and transparency. It cautioned that contractors or stakeholders found compromising on quality through poor workmanship or use of inferior materials, contrary to DPR specifications, would be held accountable and necessary action initiated under relevant laws and regulations.
Meanwhile, JPYO also drew attention to the government’s directive against rampant burning of forests and jungles, particularly during the dry season. It urged youths and citizens to remain vigilant and report such activities to the authorities without delay.
The organization said it would actively cooperate with concerned departments to monitor and prevent indiscriminate burning, noting that uncontrolled forest fires endanger biodiversity, human settlements, agricultural lands, and essential infrastructure. JPYO further called for collective efforts to safeguard the environment and prevent avoidable disasters, while urging departments to take strict action against violators.
