JSS Kiphire launches skill trg programs

DIMAPUR

Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Kiphire, operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, officially launched its annual skill training programmes for the year 2025–26 following an executive meeting held recently.
Director of JSS Kiphire, Tsadiba Sangtam, in his address, reaffirmed the organization’s mission to empower local communities through certified skill development across multiple sectors. He outlined plans to form Self-Help Groups (SHGs), establish livelihood cells, and create market linkages in accordance with ministry guidelines to promote economic sustainability.
As part of the initiative, Sangtam announced the selection of two villages where community-based training and production centers will be set up, focusing on honeybee and bamboo craft. These centers will be developed in collaboration with various district-level departments to ensure holistic and effective implementation.
Sangtam appealed to all stakeholders, including government departments, village council chairpersons, and prominent organizations in the district, to actively support the schemes. He emphasized that collective effort will be key to driving meaningful skill development and promoting entrepreneurial growth in the region.
The rollout of the training programmes signifies a major step toward equipping individuals with practical competencies and fostering grassroots economic empowerment in Kiphire district.
