Janajati Shiksha Samiti (JSS) in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India organised two days educational workshop on awareness, preservation and development of Bharatiya Culture and Heritage on August 13 and 14, at Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School Jubilee auditorium, Dimapur.
Gracing the inaugural programme, North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur, director Lipokmar Tzudir, in his speech encouraged to be obedient and inculcate compassion for the distressed which would lead them to greater success in life. He also mentioned about the composite culture of the country. Special guest, Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur, principal, Uma Bhowmick stressed upon the idea of “Unity in diversity” in Indian culture, JSS, Nagaland organizing secretary Pankaj Sinha, discussed elaborately regarding the various traits of Indian culture and tradition.
Later, vote of thanks was delivered by JSS working president and PVHSS principal, Monoj Bhattacharjee where mentioned about the unique culture of Nagaland as well as India.
The inaugural programme followed workshop on various subjects. Altogether 500 students participated.
