Kohima Japukong Senso Telongjen (KJST) celebrated its golden jubilee at Molu Ki, Para Medical Kohima on Saturday. Minister, Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along graced the occasion as special guest.
Along in his speech suggested the congregation to go back to strengthening their roots and go back to the things which was the need of the hour. He added that God has blessed them with fertile lands; however, they have to cultivate it and work hard to reap the fruits.
The minister also mentioned that living in a society where people want jobs without appearing exams, people want to be the forerunner without hard work. To this, he reminded the youngsters that there is no shortcut to success and called upon the young generation to work hard in order to achieve success in life, consistently and persistency should be their motto.
Ex-Minister and KJST advisor, Benjoliba Aier adviced the parents to encourage their children to reach new heights while availing the advantages of modern day technology. While stating that his generation did not have any distraction in the guise of social media, video games and gadget, saying that present day students are poised with every possible distractions coupled with laziness.
President of Kohima Aoer Telongjem (KAT) and also Additional Director of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Chiten Yaden viewed that Nagas are still limiting their vision within the boundaries of the state and added that dynamic initiative with market driven economy was the need of the hour. President of Kohima Japukongtsur Telomgjem (KJT), Chubasenla said the status of women in today’s society has improved with the understanding of men and maturity of the society. While acknowledging the efforts of Ao Senden, KAT and KJST through whose action have given a voice to the mothers, daughters and sisters of the society.
