Jangpetkong Senso Telongjem Dimapur (JSTD) has opposed granting bail to the murder accused, Sanjay Lodh, who was arrested by the Dimapur police for the murder of Naga girl Tasenjungla on July 12, at Chümoukedima.
In a press statement, JSTD general secretary, Bendang Tzüdir stated that the accused Sanjay Lodh has been currently under the custody of the law enforcement agencies/ judicial custody. The union urged the judiciary to take cognizance of the heinous nature of the crime committed and charges against the accused and to not consider any bail application for the accused.
The union further appealed to investigating agency to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet within the mandatory period. Further, the legal fraternity (defense advocates) has been requested not to defend the accused or take up bail application on behalf of the accused.
