Kohima Nagar Samity of Janjati Vikas Samiti Nagaland (JVSN) organised a reception programme for the teachers, school managing board members and students of the Zeliangrong Heraka School (ZHS) Tening under Peren district at Multi Utility Hall, Gorkha Public Panchayat Complex Chandmari, Kohima on June 28 with advisor for Prison, Printing and Stationery, Er. Kropol Vitsu as special guest.
A press release by JVSN stated that Er. Kropol expressed happiness for an opportunity to interact with students, teachers and school managing board members of ZHS Tening, managed by JVSN and affiliated to Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, where students from 25 villages of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland were studying.
He also expressed happiness to learn that the school has secured 100% result in the HSLC examination of NBSC for the last 13 years consecutively. Er. Kropol also congratulated the school and teachers for receiving prestigious awards at district and other levels.
The advisor said he learnt more about Heraka, its values and contribution of Heraka workers through the programme. He also talked about unity of tribal people for the development of the country.
Earlier, the programme began with Deep Prajwalan by dignitaries and Saraswati Vandana by students which was followed by patriotic song, cultural dance, special number, speeches and presentation of school report among other activities.
The programme was chaired by Ariakge, welcome address was presented by Pawan Ladha, a report of the ZHS through PPT was presented by ZHS headmaster, Hiateibui Zeliang, vote of thanks was delivered by JVSN general secretary, Dr. Lozhoho Khanyo. The programme concluded with national anthem led by students of the school.
