Jalukie Valley Youth Organisation (JVYO) has urged the PWD(R&B), Peren and responsible construction firms to expedite and complete the construction works on eight bridges between Punglwa village and Jalukie town under Peren district the bridges at the earliest.
In a press release, JVYO president, Machigwang Mpom, and general secretary, Ahiabe Chuilo, said that with the onset of monsoon and increased rainfall vehicles crossing the flooded rivers have become dangerous. In the event of loss of lives, JVYO cautioned to initiate own course of action, adding that PWD (R&B) Peren and the contractors would be held solely responsible for any untoward eventualities.
