The Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] has appointed Ar. Jwenga Seb, MLA and chairman of DPDB Tseminyu, as the new president of JD(U) Nagaland State unit following the resignation of N.S.N. Lotha.

The appointment was officially confirmed by JD(U) general secretary and Bihar MLC, Afaque Ahmad Khan, in a statement released on Tuesday.
The decision was made by the party’s national president and Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar, and takes effect immediately.

While stepping down as state president, N.S.N. Lotha said he would continue to serve as a national Executive Member of JD(U), focusing on strengthening the party in Nagaland and the Northeast region. The party expressed gratitude for his contributions and optimism about Seb’s leadership in expanding JD(U)’s presence in the state.
