DIMAPUR: Advisor for Art & Culture and Treasuries & Accounts, K. Konngam Konyak on August 13, 2026 extended financial assistance to victims from 44 Phomching A/C who were adversely affected by the July 19 landslide in Mon Town.
A total of 134 households from the 44 Phomching A/C received financial aid as a goodwill gesture and assurance that they are not alone during this time of despair. While handing over the donations, the advisor remarked, “During such times, we should stand together as one and support each other to overcome the hard times, while completely leaving aside party differences.”
Earlier, on July 29, 2026, the advisor had also visited the landslide hit locations in Mon Town and contributed to the Relief Fund through the Konyak Union. This was stated in a press release issued by PA-cum-press and media secretary to advisor.
