KAGBU warn HoDs; serves ultimatum to EE

Alleging negligence and insincerity on the part of head of department (s) (HoD’s) under its jurisdiction, Kiphire Area GBs Union (KAGBU) has warned that absentees “may invite serious implications.”
In a press note, president Kiphire Area GBs Union, C. Selotong and secretary, Tsinglise, informed the Union conducted surprise checking in all the departments during which it was found that “almost all HoDs were found absent with the exception of district administration and Police department.
The union also alleged that upon enquiry a staff reportedly revealed that the officer would arrive only during release of salary.
Maintaining that absenteeism, negligence, and insincerity of the head of departments hamper the developmental activities, Kiphire Area GBs Union, taking serious note of the issue,  informed it would be conducting surprise checking in all the departments within a short period of time and warned absentees of “serious implications.”
In this regard, the Union appealed all HoDs to reach Kiphire at the earliest, and to treat the matter seriously.
Further, stating that the highway road was becoming a thick jungle and has become an accident prone road due to negligence, Kiphire Area GBs Union served seven-day ultimatum to the executive engineer (highway) to initiate jungle clearing on the road side and cautioned that failure to acknowledge the ultimatum may invite serious consequence.
