Kaito graces LSU platinum jubilee

Lazami Students’ Union (LSU) on Wednesday observed its platinum jubilee on the theme “75 strides and beyond” at Lazami Local Ground, Khuluqa, with minister for agriculture & cooperation, G. Kaito Aye as chief guest. 

A press release from LSU informed that during the programme, Kaito in his speech acknowledged the pioneers of the union for their vision.

He said that it was because of the aspirations of the pioneers that they were able to come this far and celebrate the jubilee. 

The minister exhorted the leaders of the village and student community to be sincere in their responsibilities for the betterment of the village community. 

He also encouraged the students to work hard and acquire knowledge and wisdom to lead the community and be torchbearers for others. 

Urging upon the community to promote peace for cordial coexistence in the society, Kaito also encouraged them to adapt to the fast-changing environment so that they could progress at par with other communities. 

Short speeches were delivered by Joshua Sumi, former deputy speaker NLA and Lazami village council chairman while presidential address was delivered by LSU president, Khuvishe Swu.

The programme was compered by Ngukato Tsuipu and Qhevili Futhena, invocation as said by SABAK youth secretary, Hokato Futhena, welcome note from convener, planning board, platinum jubilee Inakhe Swu and release of jubilee souvenir was done by the inaugural guest.
