The Kiphire Area Students’ Union has asked that random transfer and posting of officers and staff, without relievers in any department or leading banks in Kiphire, through political influences or any other reasons, be stopped.
In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, KASU president, Isaac L. Tsalembi pointed out that Kiphire had been declared as an Aspirational District by the Government of India and was in the limelight. But with the district being located at a remote part of Nagaland, the letter claimed that it often faced “unexpressed anomalies in over all activities.” It further claimed as a matter of fact that the district is often unattended and neglected in all sectors. In light of the circumstances claimed in the latter, Isaac stated that random transfer and posting will jeopardise processes of various developmental activities, and sought the intervention and necessary action of the DC.
