A KAYAKALP external assessment team visited CHCs Bhandari, Sanis on November 20, a visit which culminated on November 21 at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH).
A press release from district media officer, NHM Wokha, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that the team checked availability and non-availability of resources, boundary demarcation of the hospital, good practices adopted by hospital staff, bio-waste management of the hospital, laboratory facilities etc. The team also interacted with Rev. Khonbemo P. Kikon, pastor, Wokha Town Baptist Church; Thungdemo, president Team Metamorphosis (NGO); and members of Lotha Eloe Hoho Wokha.
The team was led by Dr. Ritu Thurr, CMO Kohima, along with Dr. Toshimongla Longkumer DPM (QA) Kohima and Vethipralu Lohe, DPM (QA) Dimapur. KAYAKALP is a Government of India initiative to promote cleanliness, hygiene & infection control practices in hospitals.
