KBBB reaffirms strong support for NLTP Act

Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjüm (KBBB) has strongly reaffirmed its commitment to the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Act, 1989.
In a press release, KBBB executive secretary Rev. L. Metjen Konyak recalled that Konyak churches and civil society organisations had unanimously declared Mon district as ‘dry’ on October 1, 1988.
KBBB said the KU, KNSK, KSU etc. continue to stand firmly by this historic decision. KBBB affirmed that any attempt to alter the NLTP Act would be considered unlawful and null and void within Mon district. KBBB has appealed to all Konyaks living outside Mon district to remain steadfast and not succumb to any pressure regarding the lifting or relaxation of the prohibition law.
