KBBK commemorates 50 years

Curtain came down on the two-day golden jubilee commemoration of Konyak Baptist Church Kohima (KBCK) on Sunday evening.
In the closing ceremony, dedicatory prayer for the youth was offered by general secretary, NBCC, Rev. Dr. Z Kheyo.
Former Bumeinok Mission KBBK and former deacon, M. C Konyak exhorted the gathering.
Earlier during the devotional service,v former general secretary, NBCC, Rev. Dr. W Pongsing spoke on “Maturity in Christ- as a church”.
He advocated KBBK to be like the Thessalonica Church, a church which had unity, growth, compassion, evangelism, spirit and urged to be a receptive church.
Rev. Pongsing also urged KBBK to be an exemplary church as KBBK celebrates 50 years of God’s faithfulness.
KBBK jubilee choir presented “Hallelujah Chorus”, while Rev. Y. Chingang offered the dedicatory prayer for KBBK members.
The jubilee curtain came to a close with a prayer led by former pastor KBBK, B. Tingshem and all other former and present pastors of KBBK and concluded with a closing hymn by the jubilee choir.
The jubilee celebration was attended by a congregation of believers and leaders from other Baptist churches in Kohima, delegates from different villages from Mon district, Konyak legislators, MP and others.
