Kohima Bible College (KBC) conducted its 51st Graduation Day on Tuesday at the Multipurpose Hall, IG Stadium, Kohima, conferring theology degrees upon 79 students.
Addressing the graduates, Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo, principal of KBC and founder-senior pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church, urged them to stay rooted in scripture and spread the gospel with courage. He cautioned against the love of money, referencing Judas Iscariot, and stressed the importance of Christian values, prayer, fasting, and spiritual discipline. He encouraged graduates to lead Christ-centered lives, calling them to be “disciplined victors” rather than “victims.”
Several academic and non-academic awards were presented to outstanding students. In the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) programme, Dorodila T. Sangtam received three honors, including the David Nann’s Award for academic proficiency. In the Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) programme, Chosülü Chuzho secured four awards, including the Leona Nann’s Award for Systematic Theology.
The late Rev. Neihulie’s Award for Practical Ministry was given to several M.Div. and B.Th. students, while the Social Service Award recognized Kevie-o Koza, Hukholü Rhakho, David Kemp, and Haizinlung Teilia. Zizo Vero was named Student of the Year 2025.
The event featured a formal procession led by graduates, a speech by Zhokhrovizo Naleo, and special songs by the KBC Choir. Academic Dean R. Bendang Kichu presented the graduates, with Rev. Dr. Kiewhuo conferring academic degrees and KBC president Abei-ü Neihulie distributing non-academic awards.
