KBCSS celebrates silver jubilee

Koinonia Baptist Church Sunday School department (KBCSS) celebrated its 25 years silver jubilee (1998-2023) at the church premises, Kezieke, here Saturday on the theme, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6).


Main speaker for the celebration was founder pastor, KBC, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo. He exhorted the gathering that the ‘good knowledge’ was the word of God that should be the leading factor of life.


Quoting from the scripture that even if the world passes away, the Word of God will not, he encouraged the children to be trained in the way of Christ-likeness that in all their respective fields of life, they would be a trusted by others.


Expounding on the theme Kiewhuo said that Sunday school was the foundational stage for a child to be imbibed in the right teaching of Biblical ways.
Citing biblical characters like Samuel, Joseph, Moses who became great leaders and did not go stray away from what was taught in their childhood, he pointed out that all children should be like them and thus grow up in the right way.


The service was led by asst pastor, Koinonia Prayer Centre, H Rokopra Mekro, while greetings was conveyed by president, Pesocha Baptist Church Council Nhicuko Krotho, Khrieketouzo Haralu.
The scripture was read by treasurer, KBCSS, Medovinuo Thong.


Special praises were presented by Beginners and Toddlers class, Junior class, Intermediate class, Primary class, Koinonia Prayer Centre Sunday school children and Jubilee proclamation Youth choir. The Jubilee souvenir magazine was released by pastor, KBC, Medotseilieü Kiewhuo.


Presentation and vote of thanks was proposed by superintendent, KBCSS, Belinda Kiewhuo.
Earlier, the Jubilee monolith was unveiled by Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo.
