Kyong Baptist Ekhumkho Sanrhyutsü (KBES) has expressed shock on the August 22 firing incident at Chukitong, carried out by NSCN (K) inside the Church compound, Chukitong Town Baptist Church.
In a press release, KBES executive secretary, Rev. M.C. Kithan termed the NSCN (K) action as most inhuman act committed “by any Naga group” and said it needed strong condemnations by the people and Christians across the state. It appealed to all to maintain sanctity in the “place of worship” in future.
KBES further, said it condemned the action of those forces that were trying to destroy the peaceful atmosphere, when the Nagas were eagerly yearning and praying for lasting peace.
