The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has issued a directive to all business establishments and shopkeepers within the Kohima Municipal Council jurisdiction to clean, whitewash, and paint the front side of their buildings and shops facing the roadside ahead of Republic Day on January 26, 2025.
In a statement issued by KCCI president Kezhazer Angami and secretary Information & Publicity Kevichüzo Zumvü, the chamber also made a fervent appeal to the business community to conduct a social work-like exercise on January 25 (Saturday) morning, aimed at giving the capital city a much-needed facelift.
