KCSU 2nd annual sports meet

KOHIMA, SEP 30 (NPN)

The Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) on Tuesday organized the 2nd edition of Annual Sports Meet 2025 at D-Khel Ground, Kohima.
MLA of the 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency (AC), Dr. Tsielhoutuo Rhutso grace the occasion as the guest speaker, who in his speech, reflected on his childhood life and highlighted the importance of dignity of labor in achieving success.
He encouraged the students to prioritize education above all else.
Meanwhile, guest of honour Dode Nakro emphasized the need for good sportsmanship and teamwork, while also pointing out that trust- building and resilience are key factors in achieving goals.
Earlier, welcome address and acknowledgement was presided by president of KCSU, Kuwe Mekru.
The programme was led by Vezito Tetseo and invocation was done by woman pastor KCBCK, Wewu-ü Kapfo.
A folk tune was performed by the Chakhesang Students’ Union, Kohima College.
An oath-taking ceremony was led by Games & Sports Secretary KCSU, Virelu Pohena. The sports event begins with a “kick off” by the guest speaker.
