KDTTA to organise free table tennis coaching camp from July 14

DIMAPUR, JUL 7: The Kohima District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA) will organise a free table tennis coaching camp from July 14 to 21, at the Kohima Indoor Table Tennis Stadium.
The week-long camp is open to students up to Class X and will be conducted by a National Institute of Sports (NIS)-certified coach. The programme aims to provide young players with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of table tennis and enhance their skills under professional guidance.
Interested students can register by contacting KDTTA officials at the stadium during playing hours, up to 7 pm, or by reaching out to Kaka Belho (8131911951) or Raju Chettri (8974225573).
Following the coaching camp, KDTTA will conduct the Inter-School-cum-Kohima District Table Tennis Championship on August 14 and 15, 2026. Schools wishing to participate, along with KDTTA-registered players, have been requested to contact the association’s officials for registration and further details.
The association also informed that the Kohima district team for the forthcoming Inter-District Table Tennis Championship will be selected based on players’ performances in both the Inter-School tournament and the Kohima District Championship.
KDTTA has appealed to aspiring young table tennis players, schools and parents to actively participate and support the initiative, stating that the events would help promote the sport in Kohima district and the state as a whole.
