The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) has resolved to rename “Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament” to “G. Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy” beginning with this year’s 12th edition Open Tournament.
With a total prize pool of Rs. 4,60,000, the event also features exciting individual awards, citations and trophies.
In a joint meeting held in Kohima on Tuesday between KDVA and organizing committee, it resolved to conduct the tournament in the last week of October 2025.
In this connection, the KDVA has invited all volleyball enthusiasts, players and teams to be prepared for this year’s prestigious tournament.
Meanwhile, the KDVA has constituted the organizing committee with Mhalelhou Mere as convenor, Rukravolie Rulho- co-convenor, Dr. Keneikhoto Yano- secretary, Khriesamhalie Daniel Solo- treasurer, Visasielie Suhu- ex- officio and Khrietuo Dahou and Vitso Rio as members.
