Expressing pain over the impasse between the two NPF camps, the Naga Hoho Wednesday appealed to all the leaders to keep their individual interest aside and decide for the best interest of Naga people.
In a press release through its media cell, Naga Hoho said 12th Nagaland Legislative Assembly formed in 2013 gave mandate to the elected members to bring development to the state and accelerate their activities for the welfare of the people.
However, Hoho said it was pained by the impasse among the responsible Naga legislatures holding up in different camps and “misleading” the general public by creating propaganda through social network and print media creating tension and confusion in the minds of the people.
Hoho termed it “very unfortunate” that the entire state machinery have been brought to a grinding halt owing to the sharp division among the ruling legislatures.
Hoho said Naga general public were now “perturbed to watch the drama” between the two conflicting camps, which, it described was “a disgrace for any democratic society.”
Reminding all the elected representatives that they have achieved their position through the mandate of the people, the Naga Hoho said they were responsible for the present and future of the Naga people.
Further, urging upon all the leaders to reconcile with each other and decide for the best interest of Naga people, the Hoho said those failing to come out of their “cocoons/camps” and deliver goods to the people should be held responsible for any eventuality, which “would be too costly for the Nagas.”
