Kejong urges Chang GBs to maintain peace

Parliamentary secretary for horticulture, GBs, DBs Nagaland Kejong Chang has urged Chang GBs extend help in maintaining peaceful environment in the society.
He was speaking as chief guest at GBs Union Tuensang 31st general session hosted by Tuensang Village Citizen Union (TVCU) which was held from February 25-26 at Tuensang village, play ground under the theme “sangli khangshang”.
Asserting that peace coexistence was essential for s society to progress, Kejong said that without peaceful environment there could be no development. He then urged all to cooperate with each other and maintain peace and tranquility amongst the tribes.
Terming GBs as the “guardian of the people”, Kejong asked them to uphold the principles and integrity of the GBs and work towards delivering justice.  
Speaking as guest of honor, deputy commissioner Tuensang Alem Jongshi, deliberated on the role, power and functions of the GBs. He reminded that the government has appointed GBs to work and look after the welfare of the people.
