Kelulu Dawhu crownedMiss Universe Nagaland 2025

Nineteen-year-old Kelulu Dawhü, a student at St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama, clinched the title of the first ever Miss Universe Nagaland 2025, while 19-year-old Anon Konyak secured the first runner-up position and 20-year-old Teilih was named second runner-up.
The prestigious Miss Universe Nagaland pageant took place on Tuesday at the Regional Centre for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA), featuring 14 contestants under the theme ‘Elegance, Beauty, and Empowered Womanhood’.
In response to the classic finale question, “If you could create a campaign about a global issue, what would it be and why?”, Kelulu shared her desire to raise awareness about inequality faced by girls.
As the reigning Miss Kohima 2024 and the 2nd runner-up at Miss Nagaland 2024, she emphasized her long-standing advocacy, to protect and educate the girl child. She expressed her vision of conducting seminars aimed at educating children, especially girls.
Kelulu believes that every girl has the right to be born, to be educated, and to dream without fear. “It is through education that a girl is empowered,” she said, “and when a woman is empowered, she not only uplifts herself, she uplifts those around her.”
Director of Tourism, Veyielo Doulo expressed his honor at attending the event. Grateful for the wonderful evening, he motivated the contestants and assured them of his continued support. Doulo encouraged participants to bring pride to the state by giving their best while participating on higher level competition.
