The Kense Clan of Tuophezou has strongly condemned the attempted rape and murder allegedly committed by Khrietuolie Kense of Tsiemekhu Basa Village on July 16.
In a press statement, Kense Clan president Kevisa Kense and general secretary Kevilhousa Kense described the incident as “barbaric and inhuman”, stating that such acts have no place in today’s society. The clan extended deep sympathy to the victim, who suffered severe physical injuries and mental trauma, and prayed for her speedy recovery.
The clan urged law enforcement agencies to carry out a thorough investigation, press necessary charges, and ensure a prompt and fair trial to award appropriate punishment. They stressed that such action must serve as a strong deterrent against future crimes, especially those targeting women.
The clan further appealed that no one should attempt to influence or bypass the law in this case and called for zero leniency toward the accused.
