Keoshu Yimchunger takes oath as MLA

Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Sharingain Longkumer Thursday administered the oath of office to newly-elected member S Keoshu Yimchunger.

United Democratic Alliance consensus candidate and NDPP nominee, S Keoshu Yimchunger was declared elected unopposed to the state Assembly for the by-poll to the 58 Shamator-Chessore A/C on October 13. Keoshu was the only candidate to file nomination for the by-poll, which was scheduled for October 30, and was therefore, declared elected uncontested on October 13, the last date for withdrawal of candidature.

Advisor treasuries and accounts, national highways, Dr. Longrineken; advisor horticulture and border affairs, Mhathung Yanthan; advisor prisons, printing and stationary, H. Haiying and Khriehu Liezietstu, MLA, and a few party supporters attended the ceremony.
